This Privacy Policy explains how MatchUps.in ("MatchUps", "we", "us"), operated by
Sports N AI Private Limited, collects, uses, and protects your information
when you use our website and app at matchups.in (the "Service").
By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.
1. Who we are
MatchUps.in is a community sports platform that helps players find others nearby to play sports and
activities, form teams, and record match results. The Service is operated from India by
Sports N AI Private Limited, Rashmi Apartment, Harsh Vihar, Pitampura, New Delhi – [PIN code].
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
Account: your email address (used for login via magic link / password, or via Google Sign-In).
Profile: name, nickname, age, gender, the sports and formats you play, skill level,
and city / area / state / country you enter.
Photos & documents: a profile photo (if you add one) and any ID proof you choose to upload.
Activity: matches you record, teams you create or join, and related scores.
Communications: messages you send us for support.
Information collected automatically
Approximate location: with your permission, your device location is used to show nearby
players by distance. We store only a coarse point to calculate distance — we do not display your exact
address to others.
Technical data: basic device/browser information and logs needed to run and secure the Service.
If you sign in with Google, we receive your basic Google profile (name and email) only — nothing else from your Google account.
3. How we use your information
To create and manage your account and profile.
To help you discover players, partners, and teams near you.
To record matches, points, and leaderboards.
To keep the Service safe, prevent abuse, and respond to reports.
To communicate with you about the Service.
To comply with legal obligations.
4. What other users can see
Your profile — including name/nickname, city/area, sport and format, skill level, profile photo, and your
match stats — is visible to other signed-in users so they can connect with you to play. Your email,
exact location, and any ID proof are never shown to other users.
5. Legal basis (India's DPDP Act, 2023)
We process your personal data based on the consent you provide when you sign up and use features (such as
granting location access or uploading a photo), and to provide the Service you request. You may withdraw
consent at any time by editing your profile or deleting your account (see Section 9).
6. Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:
Service providers who help us run MatchUps — for example our hosting and database
provider (Supabase), our deployment provider (Vercel),
our email provider (Brevo), and Google (for Google Sign-In). They process data
only on our behalf.
Venue booking: if you tap "Book a ground", you are taken to a third-party site
(Hudle) governed by its own privacy policy.
Legal reasons: if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users.
7. Data storage & security
Your data is stored with our cloud providers and protected by access controls and row-level security so that
you can only change your own information. ID proofs are stored privately and are not publicly accessible. No
method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
8. Children & minors
MatchUps is intended for users aged [13/18 — decide your minimum age] and above.
Because the Service helps people meet to play in person, we take safety seriously. If you are a minor, you must
have your parent's or guardian's permission to use the Service. We do not knowingly collect data from children
below the applicable age without verifiable parental consent, and we will delete such data if we become aware of it.

9. Your rights & choices
Access & correction: view and edit your profile any time in the app.
Deletion: request deletion of your account and personal data by emailing
info@sportsnai.com.
Location: turn device location off any time in your browser/phone settings (some
distance features won't work).
Grievances: contact our Grievance Officer (Section 11) as required under the DPDP Act.
10. Data retention
We keep your information while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes,
and meet legal obligations. When you delete your account, we remove or anonymise your personal data within a
reasonable period, except where retention is legally required.
